How to Become a Hulu Affiliate Program
As an affiliate for Hulu ,the streaming entertainment service, you can earn money for each subscription referral that you produce. If you’re an affiliate marketer and wish to use your website to promote Hulu as part of its affiliate program, you must first apply for the program through Hulu’s affiliate partner, Commission Junction.
Step 1
Navigate to the Commission Junction application page for the Hulu affiliate program (link in Resources). The page contains a brief summary of the affiliate program’s terms, including the current referral payment rate.
Step 2
Select your language, country and currency where indicated below the terms of the affiliate program. Click the “Next” button to progress to the second stage of the application.
Step 3
Read through both the Special Terms and Conditions document and the Service Agreement document, clicking the “Accept” button at the end of each to accept the terms of each agreement. This will automatically check the boxes on the application indicating that you have read, understood and accepted the agreements; these boxes can’t be checked otherwise.
Step 4
Click the appropriate links to read the Commission Junction Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy documents, and then check the boxes indicating that you’ve read, understood and accepted the terms of the documents. Also check the boxes to certify that you’re old enough to join the program and have the authority to act on behalf of the website where the affiliate links will be hosted.
Step 5
Fill in all requested information about your website, including its name, URL, a description of the site and an approximation of its monthly visitors. Continue filling out the form, adding your contact information and any pertinent business information if your website is owned by a company you manage or own.
Step 6
Enter the random characters of the page’s CAPTCHA code into the box labeled “Please Enter the Characters into the Box Below” to verify that you’re an actual human and not an automated program filling out the form.
Step 7
Click the “Accept Terms” button to accept all of the program’s terms and submit the application. Commission Junction will review your application and your website, contacting you with your affiliate information once the review is complete.
Step 8
Download the affiliate graphics or ad text from Commission Junction and add them to your website. The ad links will offer visitors a one-week free trial of Hulu Plus and will contain your personal referral ID so that you’re properly credited for each visitor who subscribes at the end of his trial.
